The Honeybirds

The Honeybirds have a passion for close-harmony singing, vintage-style dresses and red lipstick!

Established in March 2012, the elegant trio first took to the stage at Haworth's 1940's festival and have been delighting audiences ever since. Singing predominantly Andrew's Sisters arrangements The Honeybirds pride themselves on an authentic close-harmony sound as heard in the 1930s and 40s.

Having recently recorded their new album 'Pennies From Heaven' featuring hits such as 'In the Mood' and 'Chattanooga Choo Choo', The Honeybirds are delighted to be launching their album as part of the Hull Jazz Festival. The three lovely ladies will be accompanied by Yorkshire's finest,  Andy Cholerton on the piano. For more information visit www.thehoneybirds.co.uk.

One VERY windy Sunday, Jenny, Daisy and Tessa headed out to Briggate in Leeds to sing a few songs to the Sunday shoppers!

The wonderful Julian Dyer (www.footlambert.co.uk) took some lovely footage throughout the afternoon, and the marvellous Leeds University Swing Society came and did a bit of Lindy Hop too!

'Bounce Me Brother With A Solid Four' was featured in the 1941 film 'Buck Privates', sung by The Andrews Sisters with some rather marvellous Lindy Hopping from stars such as Dean Collins. It was written by Don Raye and Hughie Prince.

Thank you for watching, and we hope you enjoy it!
