Giant Steps

Giant Steps is a joint production between J-Night and Pave and is our outreach programme.

The aim of Giant Steps is to strengthen the local regional developing jazz scene by increasing quality opportunities for aspiring Yorkshire musicians to participate in regular and supportive performances culminating in appearances at Hull’s International Jazz Festival. We have already provided jazz masterclasses and workshops with musicians such as Snake Davis, Liane Carroll and Jim Tomlinson alongside such names as Courtney Pine, Stacey Kent, Jazz Jamaica, Gilad Atzmon and Jacqui Dankworth.
 
A full programme takes place every Sunday afternoon at Pave Cafe Bar with an open Jazz Jam session on Tuesday nights.
