Hull Jazz Festival Winter Edition 2013 kicks off on Friday 22nd November at Hull Truck theatre for a weekend packed full of the best in world jazz.

The opening night sees Tcha Limberger and his Kalotaszeg Trio bring their Transylvanian Gypsy Jazz to Hull and closes with the beautiful harp sounds of Catrin Finch (Wales/Cymru) and Seckou Keita (Senegal).
Saturday 23rd November kicks off with The Saxophone Giants, featuring Keith Loftis (US) and Jean Toussaint (UK), and members of the late Abram Wilson’s band, Reuben James, Alex Davis and Dave Hamblett. Rounding up Saturday night, we’ve got Afro-Jazz fusion with Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion, featuring legendary drummer Ginger Baker, Ghanaian percussionist Abass Dodoo, funk and soul legend Pee Wee Ellis and Alec Dankworth.
Sunday 24th November kicks off with Hull’s very own Freedom Chorus, followed by multi-award winning vocalist Ian Shaw with his stunning celebration of Joni Mitchell at 70 and the festival closes with an incredible double bill by Christine Tobin and her band.
